Project Spring Clean
Starting today, April 23, I am going to begin cleaning all three rooms that are my living area in this house. All three rooms have deteriorated to the point where I am ashamed to look at them. My office is the worst since that’s where Jojo has been living and playing… a.k.a. throwing food everywhere and tearing up shit. Since Jojo will soon be gone from here, now is the time to begin the gigantic undertaking that will be Project Spring Clean.
Seeing as how my office is the worst in terms of mess, I will start my cleaning project in my office. I just finished picking up everything that would be too big for the shop vac to pick up. I also cut the tape on all the empty boxes in my office so they will lay flat. Now I just need to get all these flat boxes out of my office. I’ll do that next. I’ll then clean and scrub Jojo’s cage and play gym. Once all that is done, I’ll go over my floor where needed with the shop vac. After that, I’ll vacuum the entire floor with the upright vacuum. I probably need to shampoo the carpet too, but I think I’ll do that during my next cleaning frenzy.
Once I get all of the cleaning done in my office, I want to do a little decorating. There are still visible holes on my walls where I had shelves hung up for my previously owned collection of Funko Pops. When I sold my collection, I took down all of the shelves. I want to hang some framed prints of my art on the walls to cover up the holes and anywhere else on the walls that needs to be covered with something a little better. I have several prints already framed, I just need to get the step ladder and hammer then hang the damn things up where needed.
Next will be the bathroom. I mainly just need to clean off the countertop and sink then vacuum the floor. It shouldn’t take more than an hour, I hope. Later on, I’m going to clean out my bathroom closet. There’s stuff in there that’s been in there so long that no one knows what’s in there.
Finally, the bedroom. It’s nowhere near as bad as the other two rooms. I mainly just need to move a few things, clean my little desk in there, then vacuum the floor. Oh, there might be a few boxes and such that I need to get out of there too.
I also need to do some cleaning that will break my heart even further. I need to wash Aayla’s bed along with her food and water bowls. Maybe Pixie could use that bed and I’ll keep the water bowl out for when Pixie is up here and needs a drink. I already washed Aayla’s quilt that my aunt made for her. I plan to fold it and try put it in a clear box as part of Aayla’s memorial that I’m planning to setup.
That’s all that I have planned for my Project Spring Clean. I’ll make another post (maybe with some “after” pics) once I have successfully completed my project. Until then, thank you for viewing.
