A Month of Stress
It’s been exactly one month since I had surgery on my heel to remove a bone spur and fix my Achilles tendon. It’s also one month since I’ve been living downstairs in the living room without any chance of escape. I’m about to lose my mind from all of the stress. I can barely get any sleep because Dad keeps wandering around at night and waking me up. (I’m a light sleeper.) I also have to put up with his dementia related constantly repeated questions like “what time is it?” all throughout the day. I also have to keep him from turning Mom’s fan off and other such things because he has this new fear of people getting cold which causes them to get sick. No idea where that logic came from. Two more weeks of this stressful, sleep depriving crap… How will I survive?
I did manage to bring all the components of my desktop computer downstairs the night before my surgery. So, I’ve been able to have computer access all this time which is probably the only reason I have any sanity left. The first week I mostly spent resting but then worked on some art projects. After that, I got back to work on my Sims 4 mods for Simularity. I’ve updated and created many mods since I started on all the modding late last month. I made enough money from Patreon and Google Ads to pre-order the Gold Edition of Star Wars Outlaws while still being able to pay Mom back for some money I borrowed last month. I have a feeling that once that game is released, I may disappear into it for a while. It promises to be a really great game. I hope so. Otherwise, I just wasted $100.
