All Work & All Play
I’ve been playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor like mad ever since it was released. You can read my non-spoiler review here. I’ll be posting a spoiler version review soon. Long story short, I LOVE IT. It’s so fun and the story is so riveting that I can enjoy multiple playthroughs without getting bored! I always discover something new each time I play too. It’s a very intricate and detail heavy game. I took some breaks earlier today to get some work done and I intend to take more breaks to get even more work done tomorrow. Tomorrow is also Mother’s Day, but I’ve got that handled already. I have Mom’s present all wrapped up and the card ready to go for tomorrow. I just hope she likes both. I put a lot of thought into both and that’s what’s supposed to count, right?
The main chore for earlier today was to clean out Jojo’s cage and play gym. Yes, Jojo is now gone to a new home in St. Louis. Now all that remains is to clean up after him and get what the new owners didn’t want (his cage and play gym) cleaned up and sold. I’ve got them mostly cleaned up with some stuff still drying in the bathroom after having been washed using the shower. Once I get everything back together, I’m going to take photos of everything and get them listed on Facebook Marketplace. I also need to re-vacuum my office and probably the other rooms too. Abbey has been occasionally eating the bird food that Jojo would throw out onto the floor and it makes her sick. Got to make sure I get all of that cleaned up once and for all.
There’s also the last of my Funko Pops to deal with. I have a small collection of them I intend to keep but there are more around that I need to go through. There’s a bin of boxed Pops with flaws on their boxes that the buyer of my main collection didn’t want. I need to decide if there’s any of those I want to keep, then take photos of the rest and get them up on eBay. The buyer also didn’t want any loose Pops (Pops without boxes) and I have a group of those as well. I will have to go through them, see if there’s any I want to keep, then photograph the rest and get those listed on eBay. I look forward to having a little extra money in my pocket from the last of those little things. If that’s possible, of course.
Another thing I need to do sooner rather than later is figure out the new prices for my artwork prints so I can finally get some listed in my Etsy store. I’ve been meaning to do this for I don’t know how long. Maybe a year? I just keep putting it off. I did figure out prices once but I’m sure they’re now out of date since that was months ago. Since I no longer have to worry about scaring a bird, I can also finally get the rest of the framed art prints I have on hand hung up on my office walls. I got special “bear claw hangers” (a different type of screw for the wall) for them that are supposed to work really well for hanging picture frames and such.
One of Jojo’s last acts was to break my keyboard for my workstation. That’s the second (and will now be the last) keyboard he broke. I bought a new typewriter backlit keyboard from Amazon while it was on Flash Sale for $20. This one. It’s taking some getting used to. The keys are different from what I’m used to. They’re round and seem to be spaced closer together. It also makes a clicking noise when I type but that’s a “feature”. I’ll get used to it just fine. It looks awesome! I’m not sure if it’s water resistant though. I’ll need to be careful. More careful.
Once I get all the cleaning and trying to sell stuff done, I’m going to either get back to work on my art or back to work on Simularity. I haven’t decided which yet. Maybe both, if I can? For now, I’m either going to play Jedi: Survivor for a bit or just go on to sleep. I’m tired from all the work today but I also want to play. Abbey doesn’t look sleepy yet and is eating a bit of her puppy food. I’ll probably stay up for a bit and get through more of Koboh (one of the planets in the game, the biggest actually). Thank you for viewing and until next time. May the Force be with you.
